| Following the high speed development of social economy, the electric power demand expands rapidly and the price of primary energy becomes higher and higher as well. Increasing the investment of both power source and that of power grid is no longer the only way to solve the conflict between supply and the demand that is enlarging fiercely day by day. Carrying out the electric power demand side management (DSM) of inter-acting between power enterprise and users is now considered as an important way to solve the global energy crisis.The paper, with formulating the foundational theory of electric power demand side management, introducing the background and existing situation of the world power DSM implementation, the substantial strategy for implementing DSM in power enterprise is described in detail, corresponding improvement opinions due to the shortages found recently in the process of implementing DSM are suggested.Under the new situation of power enterprise system reformation, concluding the practice of DSM in Shunde Ronggui district in recent years, technical measures of peak-modulation suitable to the characteristics of local power utility is put forward. Finally with abundant cost-benefit data of win-win situation between users and the power enterprise, it is proven that DSM is the necessary measure to solve today's conflict between power demand and supply. The technical measures that has be proven effective in practice and the methods of quantitative DSM profit evaluation proposed here will be an important reference for the economic highly developed county area in their implementation works of DSM. |
