The Selection Of Fourth Party Logistics Suppliers

As the competition in the market increasing and the demand for corporate competitive environment rising, the traditional internal "self-logistics" mode of operation has been unable to further meet the requirements of improving efficiency of logistics operations and reducing logistics costs. Modern society pays more and more attention the diversification and personalization of logistics services, enterprise must plan logistics system from the perspective of the entire supply chain. Economic globalization makes area of logistics services and the scope of supply chain logistics management wider and wider, the use of information technology makes the information degree of logistics management higher and higher。Third-party logistics lacks the strategic special design of operating the throughout supply chain and the related technology to integrate supply chain processes, and business competition in the 21st century is not only a competition between enterprises, more competition among supply chains. In this case, the quietly emerging fourth party logistics (the Forth Party Logistics,4PL) is increasingly becoming a new mode of logistics operation that can really help enterprises to reduce costs of asset transfer operating of the outsourcing of logistics. In the entire logistics supply chain, as a new logistics concept, fourth party logistics in the international logistics industry has aroused widespread concern. The development of fourth-party logistics companies can effectively integrate the supply chain, reduce business operating costs. However, in domestic everyone do not deeply understand the Fourth Party Logistics, domestic 4PL development is still not very mature。This article first discusses the relevant contents of the fourth party logistics, focuses on the causes of emerging,development history, concept, content, features and the organization and operation mode of fourth party logistics, and then on this basis we study supplier's selection and evaluation of the logistics supply chain, here first we must build supplier evaluation index system, and analysis existing supplier evaluation method, then this paper will propose AHP/DEA method basing the advantages and disadvantages of the various methods to evaluate and select suppliers, and build models, and prove method is feasible through examples of simulation.
