Study On The Development Strategies Of Tourism Industry In Pearl River Delta Based On Performance Optimization

Pearl River Delta was the frontier region of reform and opening-up and the major economic center in china. In recent years, with the rapid development of its regional integration, not only the total economic output in this region has been steadily promoting, but also its level of opening to the outside world has been raised. During this process, Pearl River Delta has developed its economic quickly, while at the same time paid heavily in the other fields such as socioculture and natural eco-environment. Therefore, carrying capacity of environment, resources and ecologic should be take fully into account with the development of economy. Meanwhile, all the influential factors on regional development e.g. economy, society, culture and environment must to be coordinated to realizing good and rapid development of Pearl River Delta. As a result, how to solve these realistic issues have already become more and more important to promote the coordinate development in this region.Under the background that great changes have been taken place in the forms of evaluating economic growth and the development pattern of our society, this thesis suggested that tourism industry in the region of Pearl River Delta should overcome the tendency to emphasis on the GDP contribute-ratio on tourism economic growth, and focus on many other factors such as ecological environment, resource consumption, social justice and human-centered development. The main purpose of it was to urge the ways of development in Pearl River Delta to conform to the coutry's overall requirements on constructing the economized-type society, developing environmentally friendly ecnomic and realizing the coordinated development of economic and society.Based on the view of scientific development, this study firstly attempted to establish a new evaluation index system and an evaluation model of tourism perfomance. Furthermore, the development perfomance of Pearl River Delta has been evaluated by means of building up a systematic evaluation index and applying a scientific evaluation method. Morever, with the assistance of feedback and guidance from the results of evaluation, seeking the best development pattern and strategic countermeasures during the process of regional tourism development to meet the need of the era and historical trend. Finally, the above-mentioned problems would be solved and the development of regional tourism would move on a way of sustainable development at the same time.
