Evaluation Study On Sustainable Utilization Of Land Resource In Badong County

Badong County, a typical mountainous county, located in the upper reaches of Yangtze River, is one of the twenty counties in Three Gorges Reservoir Area. For a long time, owing to excessive reclamation and the impact of recent construction of the Three Gorges Project and ecological migration, the forest vegetation has been damaged quite seriously and the ability of water conservation has decreased. Meanwhile, with the increase of the amount of soil erosion and sediment flux into reservoir, the geological disasters happen frequently, endangering the lives and properties of the local people. With the realization of the 175-meter water storage level, large amount of land in Badong will be submerged and the current severe conflict between human and land will be more promiert. Therefore, analyzing the problems of land use in Badong County, exploring the form of sustainable land use, easing and improving eco-environmental quality and realizing the sustainable development of land in Badong County under the guidance of the concept of sustainable development have become particularly urgent.In the thesis, from the theory of sustainable development, combined with the use of ecological systems theory, land resource configuration theory and ecological economics theory and so on, through absorbing domestic and foreign research results of evaluation index system of sustainable land use, according to the natural and geographical environment, land use change history and current situation of the land use of Badong county, the sustainable land use evaluation index system is established, the comprehensive evaluation of the sustainable land use of Badong is carried out and the policy proposal is brought out. The main contents of the thesis includes the following:1. The evaluation index system which is suitable for Badong county is established. Badong county is a typical mountainous county, and this index has definite representativeness, which can provide reference experience for the establishment of the evaluation index system mountainous county land use in china.2. Through the evaluation of sustainable land use of Badong county, it is found that the land use of Badong is in the initial stage of sustainable use and the level is low, but the situation of sustainable land use is improving. There are mang problems followed:soil erosion is serious.Though the situation has been improved in recent years, the total loss amout is still large. The constrution land use intensity is small and the production capacity is low. The fertility of the farmland is low. The process of the reconstrution of the low and medium yield farmland is slow.3. Combined with the result of the land sustainable use evaluation of Badong County, I offer proposals for the improvement of land use of Badong.
