The wide application of mechanized coal mining and depravation ofgeology condition of coal resources cause that the coal slime show thecharacteristic of micronization and include a large amount of gangue mineral,making the ash content high and the flotability poor. So the problem of the coalslime of serious sliming and low selectivity arises,influencing floatation.Thesuitable flotation regulators can improve flotation effect effectly and solve theproblem because of coal slime of serious sliming and low selectivity in theflotation on some level. With the coal slime of serious sliming and lowselectivity from the Dayuan coal preparation plant as the research object,aseries of flotation experiments were carried out in different types of flotationregulator(sdepressant,flocculant and inorganic coagulant,dispersant),selectingsome flotation regulators being helpful to the coal slime of serious sliming andlow selectivity.The oxidized starch could decrease cleans ash and increase flotation perfectdegree.When the dosage of oxidized starch is500g/t,cleans ash changed from 12.51%to11.32%,cleaned coal yield just lower7.45percentage points,flotation perfect degree changed from41.22%to42.90%. The oxidized starchhave selective inhibitory effect,could become selectivity depressor of coal slimeof serious sliming and low selectivity.Sodium hexametaphosphate could decrease cleans ash,increase waste coalash,obviously increase combustible recovery and increase flotation perfectdegree by a wide margin. When the dosage of sodium hexametaphosphate is2000g/t,cleans ash changed from13.32%to12.59%,flotation perfect degreechanged from40.98%to44.64%. Sodium hexametaphosphate could increasethe potential absolute value of particle surface,improve dispersity of particle inthe slurry, obviously improve a series of flotation indexes.So,sodiumhexametaphosphate could become the flotation regulator of coal slime of serioussliming and low selectivity.Sodium carbonate could obviously decrease cleans ash and obviouslyincrease flotation perfect degree. When the dosage of Na2CO3is2000g/t,cleansash changed from13.32%to12.57%,flotation perfect degree changed from40.98%to42.58%. Na2CO3could increase the potential absolute value ofparticle surface,keeping the particle dispersive. So,Na2CO3could become theflotation regulator of coal slime of serious sliming and low selectivity.The sodium silicate with different modulus obviously decrease cleans ash,and have best flotation effect at the dosage of2000g/t. When the dosage ofsodium silicate(m=3) is2000g/t,cleans ash changed from13.32%to12.16%at 74.37%yield and42.46%flotation perfect degree. The sodium silicate couldincrease the potential absolute value of particle surface,keeping the particledispersive, eliminate effect of fine particle slime on flotation and havedepressing effect on gangue mineral in flotation. So,the sodium silicate couldbecome the flotation regulator of coal slime of serious sliming and lowselectivity.
