In the modern production of continuous casting mould, with Constant improvement of industrial automation level and increasingly fierce, the requirements about the reliability and the foundry quality have become more and morn strict, and the requirements of hydraulic level control precision also have become more and more higher.Mould level control is an important part during the metallurgy continuous casting moulds. The level fluctuation may lead to protective dregs and the impurities get into the steel water, which could affect the quality of the steel or even cause the steel water to leak and overflow. So the level must be controlled within a reasonable range. However the mould level system has the characteristics of the non-linear and time variability, there are many unsure disturbing factors in this system which the precise mathematical model can not be proposed. The conventional control method could not be satisfying with the requirement of higher automation and quality. In recent years, many intelligent level control methods appeared to improve the controlling effect of the mould level. This paper mainly researches the design and application of the based on S7-300mould liquid level automatic control system in Anshan steel casting machine.Anshan steel slab casting machine used Siemens S7-300PLC, VUHZ liquid level detection system and hydraulic to realize automatic control mould level. In the molten steel pouring process, as long as people through the upper machine set the mould level, the automatic control system can sets and adjusts the proportional servo valve automatically according to the actual mould level and the actual value of stopper, to realize automatic control hydraulic cylinder and keep the mould level at a fixed level.This paper introduces the hardware structure of the mould level control system firstly. Secondly researches and designs the control method of PID, in the actual debugging through constantly adjusting the parameters of PID to meet the requirement of the mould level control. Finally gives a summary advanced design method of this project.
