High efficiency billet continuous casting slab machine technology is the current domestic steel plant project construction trend, is an important means to enhance the production capacity of the steel plant, perfect automatic control system is an important way to realize the high efficient continuous casting. Shougang Jingtang Iron and steel 2150mm slab continuous casting machine is a carrier of new steel plant of Shougang relocation adjustment, adopt advanced technology at home and abroad.This paper focuses on the automatic control system of slab continuous casting machine, and the automation of software function control. Firstly, combining with the process characteristics and technology requirements of continuous casting machine, the paper develops and designs the electrical automation control system of slab continuous casting machine. According to the site, use industrial computer Siemens SIMATIC S7-400 controller and other communications equipment to design of the continuous casting machine control system, and analysis in detail and design distributed process control level of the PLC control system; using Siemens inverter control technology to handle the transmission equipment in the process of running process of full digital vector control. The software system for continuous casting machine design using Siemens Step7 and Intouch software, furthermore, research and implemented mold on-line adjustable width, mould breakout prediction, hydraulic mould oscillation, dynamic adjustment for the secondary cooling and other advanced technologies. In these key technologies, the paper mainly analyzes the automatic control of mold level, and by adjusting the level of control as well as the hardware configuration settings to realize the function of automatic pouring continuous casting machine, greatly improving the efficiency of production. Mould oscillation is the core of continuous casting control. Through the simulation test of the fuzzy PID integrated control system, effectively improve the control accuracy.In this paper, the continuous casting machine and electrical automation control system developed and designed has been successfully applied in Shougang Jingtang steel steelmaking continuous casting a step project. The production practice proves that the system is stable and reliable, high production efficiency, and the quality of slab production is good to meet the target of production technology.
