| Low-dimensional cyano-bridged magnetic systems, especially single chain magnets (SCMs) and single molecule magnets (SMMs), because of its structure can be rationally designed via the linear linking mode of cyanide-bridge in metallcyanates building blocks, are attracting considerable interest in the field of chemistry, physics and material science. Such materials not only show spontaneous magnetization, but also present quantum behaviour, providing an ideal model for studying coexistence of classic and quantum behaviour. Moreover, it can retain spin information over long periods of time, providing potential applications in high-density information storage, quantum computing, and spintronics. Simultaneously, it is possible to reasonably predict the spin of the ground state and in some cases the magnitude of the magnetic anisotropy with knowledge of the nature of the exchange interaction through the cyanide bridge. Along above, this thesis includes two aspects following:1. Using [Bu4N][Fe(Tp)(CN)3],[Bu4N][Fe(Tp*)(CN)3] and [Bu4N][Fe(pzTp)(CN)3] three kinds of tricyanometalate building blocks with ditopic bridging linker1,4-bis(1-imidazolyl)benzene (bib) and divalent metal Fe, Co, Mn, was self-assembly synthesized five low-dimensional compounds and studied the structure and magnetic properties. Compounds1-3are zero-dimensional trinuclear structure and4-5are one-dimensional double-chain structure. Magnetic test showed the compounds1,3exhibited weak ferromagnetic coupling interaction, while in compound2the antiferromagnetic interactions could be detected, the presence of antiferromagnetic coupling interaction between Feâ…¢ and Mnâ…¡ ion in compounds4-5.2. Using [Bu4N][Fe(Tp)(CN)3] and [Bu4N][Fe(Tp*)(CN)3] tricyanometalate building blocks with tridentate ligand1,3,5-tris(1-imidazolyl)benzene (tib) and divalent metal Fe, Mn self-assembly synthesized three kinds of low-dimensional cyano-bridged compounds, while they were on the structure determination and magnetic tests. Compound6generalized one-dimensional Fe2M triculear cluster, compounds7-8generalized two-dimensional trinuclear clusters. Magnetic test showed the presence of antiferromagnetic coupling interaction between Mâ…¡ and Feâ…¢ ions in compound6,a weak antiferromagnetic coupling interaction in compounds7-8. |
