All the cars in our country basically use wheel braking system of the CAM actuation,which makes the brake camshaft become one of the core parts of automobile brake system.And the processing quality of the brake camshaft has a direct effect on the performance andsecurity of the car. Traditional modeling processing has been unable to meet the demand ofmodern production. This paper analyzed the current development of CNC technology,proposed the overall design of special CNC system hardware and software to achieve efficientproduction of the brake camshaft parts. The special CNC system is an important direction inthe development of numerical control technology, it can give full play to its characteristics ofhigh efficiency, low redundancy and simple operation.Based on understanding and learning the relevant knowledge of automotive brakecamshaft, the CNC system overall plan was designed by modular design method. The specialCNC system put computer as position machine, MCU as inferior machine, servo motor asfeed actuator, and its program was designed by C++language.The experimental platform of CNC system is built to realize the whole system’sdebugging and testing. The main task is to use the existing resources in the laboratory tocomplete CNC system’s experimental platform which includes MCU peripheral circuit design,servo motor drive circuit design, I/O port assignment and serial communication circuit design.The whole system is characterized by simple structure and low cost.The CNC system with computer achieves human-computer interaction, usingtime-division-coarse-interpolation to separate the cam contour into tiny line segments whichare expressed in coordinates, and send coordinate points and relevant commands to inferiormachine through the serial communication. While the inferior machine receives the command,then according to the different flags, the MCU executes different commands and sent signalsto the servo controller or inverter.
