| The preparation and property study of core-shell emulsion, which can occur crosslinking reaction at ambient temperature, has been one of the main research directions in the field of emulsion. As the increasing public’s awareness of the environmental protection, the water-based ink rather than the traditional solvent-based inks, has attracted lots of attentions for the low VOC emission. In the field of food packaging, especially plastic film packaging, application of water-based ink has become a trend. However, history of the application of the the domestic water-based ink used in the plastic films is very late and has weak fundation. Basically, the main products on the market and related core technologies all depend on foreign imports. For the current development status of domestic water-based ink, the paper aims to develop domestic water-based ink with high performance to meet market requirements, thereby can replace imported water-based ink emulsion and has independent intellectual property rights to fill technology gaps. The essay lays emphasis on the design and synthesis of core-shell ambient-temperature crosslinkable styrene-acrylic emulsion. We use the atomic force microscopy (AFM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), fourier transform infrared tester (FTIR) etc. to analysis the characterization of latex particles. We systematicly study the performance and influencing factors of crosslinking reaction between diacetone acrylamide (DAAM) and adipic acid dione hydrazine (ADH). What’s more, we study the type and dosages of emulsifier and comonomer on the emulsion properties. The impact of the ratio of core to shell on the "soft-core hard-shell" structure of latex properties was also discussed. Finally, we optimalized the water-based ink formulations and study the water-based ink that use the emulsion as the binders for application in flexible plastic film substrates, such as BOPP, PE, PA, PET etc. We discuss and optimize the process and formulation of the water-based ink used for various plastic film substrates (BOPP film, PE film, PET film, PA film). The water-based ink made here possesses excellent adhesion, water resistance, drying speed and the resoluble performance, and can meet the application requirements of the relevant companies. |
