The Exploration Of Innovative Design On Recreation Facilities For Promoting Children’s Social Communication Ability

With the development of children’s education, children’s recreation facilities have received more and more attention from people. It is the closest contact activity space in the process of children’s growth. It carries the children’s physical and psychological development, plays an important role in entertainment and develops intellectual and social interaction of children.Currently, on the market, children’s recreation facilities lay stress on developing the abilities of learning and social interaction instead of the early physical development and the skill training in the game. Many European countries have rapidly developed the recreation facilities with the support of West Children’s Game theories. They have made the appropriate product examples and occupied most of the share of the world’s high-end market. In contrast, China’s recreation facilities industry has stagnated in the early stages.Due to the inadequate of children’s communication support in existing children’s recreation facilities, the author made a systematic study in children’s recreation facilities by accessing to the latest literature and field research and other methods, The purpose is to explore a new path of designing from the perspective of promoting children’s social interaction.Firstly, starting from the child’s own characteristics, the author researched and analyzed the behavior associated with the psychological characteristics of children. The object of study was determined by combining with the development of personality theory. Then children’s and facilities monomer were classified according to different physiological and psychological characteristics, features and behaviors of children in the game and social interaction. After that, the author analyzed the feasibility of communication space for children in the designs of recreational facilities, discovered the corresponding relationship between products and space of recreation facilities and communication space. After making coupled analysis between them, the author proposed a space model and the principle for product of recreation facilities which can promote children’s social communication ability. The application methods were validated by a design example of Combination of Recreation Facilities.Articles explore a new design pattern rides, this is a new attempt at the design of children’s recreation facility. It plays a new role in guiding design direction of recreational facilities in the future. Hope that children’s recreation facilities can be created as a high-quality and motivating game space.
