Under the guidance of Low-Carbon Economic Strategy(LCES) thought, the greenmachining technology of Oils on Water are pointed out in view of current use situation ofmetal cutting fluid in manufacturing industry. Machining technology of Oils on Water (OoW)is an emerging green manufacturing technology. It works by using cold compressed air after asmall amount of water and minuteness of natural degradation of vegetable oil in a special fullatomization nozzle, forming atomized jet sprayed into the cutting zone for the cooling andlubricating action. Experiment study on cutting performance of cooling and lubricationtechnology of Oils on Water in turning0Cr18Ni9stainless steel was performed.Main works in this thesis as following:(1) Cutting experimental of cutting force and surface roughness is designed byorthogonal design method. The provided factor horizontal number and the factors rang arepromoted, therefore, the number and the cost of cutting experiments are reduced.(2) The empirical formula of cutting force and surface roughness in the dry cutting, emulsion liquid cutting and Oils on Water cutting was be obtained. Variance analysis showedthat these formulas have highly significant linear relationship.(3) The cutting force and surface roughness data for the range analysis and varianceanalysis. The results of data analysis showed that compared with dry cutting and emulsionliquid cutting the cutting force and surface roughness reduced obviously while used Oils onWater cutting fluids, the cutting force reduced by6.5%and4.7%, the surface roughnessreduced by19.1%and17.3%, and the range of data is smaller. Therefore, the Oils on Watercutting processing were more stable.(4) The study on the influence of tools life with Oils on Water cutting is done by theexperiments. Utilizing an ultra deep microscopic observation system to measuring the wear inthe rack face and the rear face, Then drawing the wear curves of the rear face. The results of test showed that it can decrease tool wear, improve the tool life and reduce the cost of producewhile used Oils on Water cutting fluids. In the experimental study on cutting force and surface roughness, the active researchesfor the experimental design, the modeling dependent variable and the dependent variablefactor analysis etc are carried in this thesis. The research ways are enriched and cutting testsmeans are completed, and has been studied the performance of tool life. However, the effectof Oils on Water cutting fluids in cooling and lubrication was good. Under the guidance ofLow-Carbon Economic Strategy thought, machining technology of Oils on Water should bestrongly promoted. From the angle of sustainable development to beautify the environment,OoW cutting fluid has broad application prospect.
