Billet mold is the key component of the large-scale continuous casting machine in thedomestic iron and steel enterprises, but it belongs to consumables and demand is bigger.Waste of mould copper tube after repaired can be used again in production, it reduces theproduction cost of enterprises. But repairing technology for mould copper tube is the biggestproblem faced by the iron and steel enterprises. In order to solve this problem, this paper aimsto study the repair for inner surface of mould copper tube, a careful analysis of linear structureand channel characteristics for inner surface of mould copper tube and its forming method andmotion have been studied. According to the metal cutting process, the profiling millingmethod is used for cutting and repairing inner surface of mould copper tube. According to thestructure characteristics of billet mold and structural design requirements of the machine tool.Aspecial device for repairing inner surface of billet mold has been developed.Arc sliding rail structure, block structure, gap adjusting device have been designed indetail mainly according to the stress analysis of guide rail in this paper. The paper alsodescribes the structure characteristics and the role of the arc rail mobile device, fixing device,the fixing device of the arc guide rail.3D model of the whole set of equipment has beenestablished. Dynamic characteristic of billet mold processing device has been analyzed byusing ANSYS Workbench, got the model’s natural frequency and deformation frequencyresponse function curve. Finally, we found the arc guide rail as the main vibrationdeformation area. The cross-sectional dimensions of guide rail are multi-objectiveoptimization designed by using Design Explorer module of ANSYS Workbench. In asatisfaction of strength requirement premise, the maximum deflection deformation of guiderail is reduced, the low order natural frequency of guide rail is raised, in purpose of ensuring the device stable operation within the frequency far away from the resonance regions.
