Judging from its own structural characteristics, the crawler walking mechanism is endowed with strengths that no other walking mechanism could compare, namely: smaller touching ground area, good gripping adhesion performance, strong climbing ability and stable bending capacity and etc. However, because mining hydraulic stripping attachment is required to work in special underground environment, it therefore must be used on the road for long hours under complex features and working conditions of restrictive underground space. The requirements under general conditions can’t be met by usual crawler walking mechanism. As a result, study on the stability of the crawler walking mechanism in underground mines and coals under geological conditions have become the focus of attention and problem of the industry.According to the walking mechanism and characteristics of mining hydraulic stripping attachment under working conditions, by using virtual prototype dynamics simulation method, the designing approach of the highly-efficient mining hydraulic stripping attachment is to be explored, and the related and major factors that affect the stability is to be identified. The specific work of this paper is detailed as follows:1. On the basis of the working conditions and structure characteristics of the mining hydraulic stripping attachment crawler walking mechanism, a mathematical model for the stability of the walking mechanism was established by the related classic theories such as mechanics, kinematics and dynamics, and by the function software of virtual prototype simulation.2. The related and main factors are explored according to stable mathematic model and single factor analysis.Driving wheel teeth number,track shoe width and distribution position of running gear are included in those related facotrs.Mesh relation between driving wheel and track shoe and motion direction of Hydraulic Stripping Attachment was included in main factor.3. The actual working condition was verified through the analysis of factors affecting stability of mining hydraulic stripping attachment crawler mechanism and simulation and computer software.The results show the model was feasible,and affecting factors are ture.This paper brings reference value and actual application benefit for the stability of mining hydraulic stripping attachment crawler walking mechanism.
