Because of the high strength, good wear resistance performance and a variety ofexcellent performance, hardened steel is widely used in the manufacturing industryof automobile cover parts die. The last manufacturing procedure of hardened steelmould usually is finishing, it can effectively ensure the surface quality of thehardened steel mould. Machining conditions has a big impact on the surfaceformation and different surface has different mechanical properties, this makes theservice performance of hardened steel mold a big difference.In this dissertation, the main task is analysis and modeling on the machinedsurface meso-structure of high-speed milling hardened steel. Analyzing thegenerative mechanism of the ball end milling surface topography, based on thehigh-speed milling experiment researching on how the cutting parameters affect thesurface morphology and the work hardening, meanwhile carrying out statisticalanalysis on the surface micro defects, the main study content is listed as follows:Firstly, according to the surface topography generative mechanism of the ballend milling, the ridge expression of ball end milling is calculated and the theoreticalsurface topography model is established. Determine the direction of the surfacetopography and further analyze the influence of the surface topography to the usingperformance of part.Secondly, based on the high speed milling hardened steel experiment, throughthe single factor experiment to study how the cutting parameters affect on the surfaceroughness and the surface work hardening, through orthogonal experiment to studythe effect degree of cutting parameters on the surface roughness and determining themost important influence factor.Again, through the high-speed milling experiment data analysis, establish theforecast model of surface roughness. Based on the measurement of surface topography micro unit, the model of characteristic parameters is revised.Finally, through the detection of the surface micro defects, analyzing the causesof the surface micro defects and categorize it. Extracting the characteristicparameters of the surface micro defects and make statistical analysis on the surfacemicro defects of the machined surface and the cross section respectively, providingthe theoretical basis for the research of parts damage evolution.In this dissertation, research on the surface topography modeling and theinfluence of the cutting parameters on the machined surface in geometrical andphysical aspects is researched based on the high-speed milling experiment. Combinethe analysis and statistics of the surface micro defects, the boundary conditions fordamage analysis is acquired and then studying the service performance of part.
