The subject comes from the actual project. In the course of the RM300E billet grinding machine produced by Taiyuan Hengshan Electrical Equipment Co., Ltd. discovered a problem. Therefore, the purpose of this project is through the analysis of RM300E grinding machine, to find out why the problem occurred. As in the actual manufacturing, for the increasingly high demand for billet’s quality, so billet grinding is more and more important. But in the grinding process of the billet, there is the inevitably dynamic unbalance wheel. Resulting in strong vibration in the billet grinding machines, reducing the grinding machines’life, and increasing the economic cost of manufacturing.Therefore, in this thesis, based on the theoretical analysis of problems and solutions for the billet grinding machine, designing and manufacturing a series of billet grinding machine automatic balancing system.Through analysis of the topic, in this thesis, the analysis and research on the topic are as follows:(1)Analysis the cause of the problem for RM300E billet grinding machine, and identify the research directions. Learn the significance of dynamic analysis for billet grinding machine’s wheel spindle, and domestic and abroad external grinding wheel balancing technology research situation.(2) Dynamic Analysis on the wheel spindle and gear key by ANSYS. Further determine the main reason for the sleeve loose and the pressure loss. Thus propose appropriate measures for improvement in the mechanical structure.(3) Draw mechanical assembly drawings of the epicyclic quality compensating balancing head. Application bipolar coordinate quality compensation principle and conclude the balance calculation.(4) Study the vibration mechanics model of wheel unbalance detection system, and conclude the relationship between the unbalance and the sensor signal. (5)Based on the in-depth research of balance control algorithm for balancing equipment. Proposed more faster, accurater and stabler balance control algorithm for this topics.(6) Summary the theory of billet grinding machine balancing device detection system, and selection and purchase hardwares for the detection system.(7) Understand and learn Labview. Using computer processing vibration signal and the reference signal based on Labview.Through the study of this subject, not only from its own mechanical structure to find out the problem, but also to establish a billet grinding wheel repair online automatic balancing system framework, for further research billet grinding machine automatic balancing technology to lay a perfect foundation.
