| The steel wire rope is an important metal product that is widely used in metallurgy, mining, construction, petrochemical, aerospace and defense fields. Domestic steel wire rope service life is generally lower than similar foreign products; some important purposes and complex structure of steel wire rope require a lot of imports. Design and manufacturing technology has become the bottleneck of the sustainable development of China’s steel wire rope industry. Steel production enterprises urgently need advanced design methods and support tools.This paper puts forward to such a constraint, the strong optimal design of complex/composite structure of steel wire rope.Based on product model and design process model, and take advantage of workflow technology and virtual manufacturing technology to solve complex product design processes and design programs the problem. Major researches are as follows:(1) According to the characteristics of steel wire rope design methods, the cell called component which constitutes steel wire rope has been found,then use of components for product design and configuration of wire rope product model;(2) Conform to the composite development trend, introduce the workflow technology, make the complexity of the design process become simple, flexible, and to provide a basis for fast configuration design. Analysing the design process of steel wire rope, established the workflow model, and then using Microsoft Workflow basic frame WWF to expand and package on WWF functional. Develop workflow unit for the design of wire rope, including the workflow engine, workflow definition, workflow tracking and persistent. Facilitate the designers to understand the design process and start again the unfinished design at any time, improve design efficiency and respond quickly to customer needs, accelerate products to market;(3)Based on previous research, introduce virtual manufacturing technology in the system, through to simulate steel wire ropes’ manufacturing process, generate3d entity of steel wire rope. Display the effect of product processing, the assembled three-dimensional entity, and predict the issues that may arise in the actual production, to reduce the late design changes, to avoid waste after the actual production error. Provide basis for further improving design and manufacturing;(4) Developed steel wire rope design and virtual manufacturing system to support personalized, complex, visualization and fast steel wire rope design. Through a case of complex structure steel wire rope, the system has proved effectively. |
