Yougou block is located in the south-central of North Shaanxi slope, Ordos Basin and in the south of Wuqi oilfield. Its major reservoir is Reservoir Chang4+5. Based on testing data and producting test data, it shows that the reservoir in this region is of low porosity and low permeability, low-yield, low-abundance, medium heterogeneity. This paper chooses the Reservoir Chang4+5, Triassic period, Yougou block, Wuqi oilfield as the subject of study. Using the theory of petroleum geology, the paper studies the characteristics of sedimentary system, structure, sedimentary microfacies, reservoir characteristics, sand body morphology and distribution, development plans, requirement and performance management, based on the well drilling, logging, testing, and production test data. Also, based on massive investigation, the paper studies the determination on the well spacing of water-flooding well patterns in low permeability reservoir, and analyses the development effects of rhombic inverted nine-spot injection pattern and square injection pattern and compares with each other. Addition, it performs an analysis on the maximum water injection wellhead pressure and the reasonable water injection wellhead pressure of injection well. The paper considers that the water displacement recovery of the Reservoir Chang4+5is23%by reservoir engineering demonstration and analysis. The paper considers rhombic inverted nine-spot injection pattern as the better option, and its well array distance is550×150m. Finally, it holds that the development effect by water injection will be better than that by reservoir initial pressure. In brief, the development strategy of the Reservoir Chang4+5is reasonable in Yougou block, Wuqi oilfield and will have great effect on oil production.
