Sequence subdivision and correlation interpreted on basis of sedimentary faciesdistribution from core sections and wireline log data combined with analyses of reservoirporosity-permeability, heterogeneity and sensitivity, and petroleum reserve calculation havebeen used to study systematically petroleum reservoirs in Yujuzi Fanchuan in the Xiqu oilfield. The forth+fifth member and the sixth member of the Yanchang Formation (Chang4+5and Chang6respectively) are characterized by relatively higher porosity and permeability, and are defined as fine-grained sandstones at least based on empirical data. Although wellproduction allocation need to be optimized, Chang4+5and Chang6reservoirs in the studiedarea may have huge petroleum potential mainly by analyzing wireline log data. It is suggestedthat water injection development process and separate layer production should bestrengthened. This is because that appropriately enhancing water injection may enable toincrease the water absorption thickness of water injection wells and improve the waterabsorption capability of these reservoirs. Simultaneously, Formation energy can besupplemented well favorable for the sustainable development of the oil field.
