Based on the research of FGD, the significance of wet limestone-gypsum desulfurization project is presented. The mechanism of wet limestone-gypsum desulfurization system is discussed. The factors that influence the efficiency in different running conditions are analyzed. The mechanics flow and calculation of wet limestone-gypsum desulfurization system are introduced in detail. Then, systematic numerical simulations of3D gas-droplet multiphase flow, droplets vaporization and study of field are conducted for a wet FGD absorber of desulfurization system by flue gas. It has been proved by the field study that the numerical calculating method used for gas flow is reliable. The droplet-wall collision in the absorber has been predicted by present model. Theκ-ε model, and the particle path model are applied numerically calculate the flow and temperature fields inside the wet desulfurization absorber of power plants and the computation is based on the SIMPLEC algorithm, discrete phase model is adopted for two-phase simulation. From the conclusion horizon inlet is different from lean inlet. Lean inlet is better. The spray zone position is also important. The FGD efficiency will be increased by mounting the wall panel. This thesis will be very useful to make the design and operation of the activation reactor reasonable and effective.
