Scrap rubber conveyor belt is the second-largest used large-scale rubber product in theworld, only behind car tires. However, research and application regarding scrap rubberconveyor remanufacturing technology is rarely reported, belonging to major special technicalvacancies. With the retirement of rubber conveyor belts, a large number of recyclableresources are not used effectively every year, resulting in a huge waste of resources. In thispaper, the waste rubber conveyor belt with waste fiber tensile layer remanufacturingtechnology for the study, we carry on exploratory research to the following questions.Researching technical process route suitable for the waste rubber conveyor belt withwaste fiber tensile layer remanufacturing on the basis of the material structure and wearcharacteristics of aging rubber of conveyor belt.Developing special cover rubber material for the waste rubber conveyor belt with wastefiber tensile layer remanufacturing. Material formulation used natural rubber matrix, selectingthe vulcanization system of sulfur and accelerator DM. Vulcanized rubber mechanicalproperties, abrasion resistance and anti-aging properties have reached GB/T7984-2001technical standards for cover layer of general-purpose fabric conveyor belt.This paper studied waste conveyor surface preparation techniques and overall curingtechnology, which could retain the structural and functional integrity of original conveyor belttensile strength layer. By covering special cover rubber materials, remanufacturing fibermaterial tensile strength layer conveyor belt. Its overall performance can meet therequirements for conveyor belt with fabric core (GB/T7984-2001).Designing and manufacturing of demonstration equipment to meet the requirements ofthe waste rubber conveyor belt with waste fiber tensile layer remanufacturing.The study provides a high material utilization, better manufacturability, significant socialand economic benefits of remanufacturing methods for the waste rubber conveyor belt withwaste fiber tensile layer.
