Nowadays, micro/nano-structural materials have become the attractive topic inthe field of materials research because of their peculiar properties. In this thesis, based on their widely applications in the field of biosensor, micro/nano CeO2materials with particular morphologies have been synthesized by using mixedsolvothermal method and reflux method. The electrochemical properties ofas-obtained micro/nano CeO2materials have been studied and which lays afoundation for the further studies on biosensors. The main reserach contents are asfollows:1、 Octahedron CeO2crystal has been fabricated by using ethanol/watersolvothermal method with polyvinylpyrrolidone as surfactant. The influences of thesolvent composition and the reaction time on the morphology of the obtained CeO2have been studied by varying the ratio between ethanol and water and changing thereaction time. The ultraviolet absorption performance of as-obtained octahedronCeO2was represented by ultraviolet absorption spectrum. Electrochemical behaviorto phenol of glassy carbon electrode modified by octahedron CeO2was measuredand the cyclic voltammograms and impedance diagrams of different electrodes in0.1mol/L KCl,0.5mmol/L [Fe(CN)6]3-/4-solution were also compared and analyzed.2、For the first time, micro-sized subuliform CeO2has been successfullysynthesized via a reflux method in the presence of PEG-400by using ethylene glycolas solvent. The as-synthesized products have been characterized by X-ray singlecrystal diffraction and field-emission scanning electron microscopy. Systematicinvestigations have been performed on the factors influencing the morphology of micro-sized CeO2, such as the reaction time and the kind of surfactants, theformation mechanism also has been discussed. The ultraviolet absorptionperformance of as-obtained octahedron CeO2was represented by ultravioletabsorption spectrum. Photocatalytic experiment was conducted by degradation of aRhodamine B solution under UV radiation. The cyclic voltammetric measurementsof hemoglobin immobilized on CeO2-Nafion modified glassy carbon electrode andthe bioelectrocatalytic activity for the reduction of hydrogen peroxide were alsostudied.
