The morphologies of materials have a great influence in the properties of products, shape-controlled syntheses of well-defined inorganic nanocrystals have attracted much attention. Metal tungstates and vanadate have received great interest because of its photoluminescence, catalysts, magnetic devices, humidity sensors and potential applications in different fields. As one of the most important semiconductors,Antimony trioxide(Sb2O3) has been widely used as ?ame retardant paints, conductive material, functional ?ller, adhesives, and optical material. Therefore, the development of simple route and controllable shape in the synthesis of metal tungstates, vanadate and Sb2O3 are extremely important. In this paper, tungstate antimony, Sb2O3, and SbVO4 micro/nano materials have been prepared by a facile method. The pH values, reaction temperature, reaction time that affected the crystallinity and morphology of these materials have been studied. The main contents of this paper include the following:(1) We have introduced that the definition and properties of nanomaterials, the recent research process of photocatalyst, superhydrophobic, tungstates and antimony trioxide.(2) Sb2WO6 microspheres were successfully prepared via a mild solvothermal method. The products were characterized by XRD, EDS, SEM, TEM, UV-vis. The result showed that the pH values, reaction time, and reaction temperature have considerable effects on the crystallinity, morphology and photocatalytic property of Sb2WO6 microspheres, The products exhibited excellent photocatalytic property at180 oC for 24 h.(3) Based on the solvothermal method, we have successfully synthesized Ag,Zn2+ doped Sb2WO6 photocatalytic materials. The phase and morphology of the product were characterized by XRD and SEM. Adding the 20% Ag and 10% Zn2+, the photocatalytic activity of Sb2WO6 microspheres is the best. The concentration of metals has a great influence on the photocatalytic activity of Sb2WO6 microspheres.(4) Controllable phase and morphology of Sb2O3 have been synthesized in the presence of Na2WO4ยท2H2O by the solvothermal method. The result showed that pH values played crucial roles in controlling phase and morphology of Sb2O3 microstructures. When the pHvalues is 9 and 11, the cubic Sb2O3 particles withoctahedral morphology and orthorhombic Sb2O3 particles with microspindles morphology were formed, respectively. And it has been found that the reaction temperature and the reaction time have considerable effects on the crystallinity and morphology of Sb2O3.(5) SbVO4 nanoparticles were successfully synthesized via different method: the hydrothermal method, the reflux method and the ultrasonic method. The effect of pH values on the morphology and superhydrophobic property were also examined. It is found that the pH value has no significant influence on the particle morphology of the product.
