As one of the main ways of oil and natural gas transport,pipeline transportationplays a decisive role in the development of modern society.With the pipeline “aging”deepened and the increase of long distance pipeline,the daily operation and riskassessment of pipeline is facing new challenges.Once the pipeline accidents occurred,itmay lead to the perforation and leakage of pipeline,and even the fire explosion and theloss of people life and property.By taking the scientific and reasonable risk assessmentmethod,the risks of long-distance pipeline can be identified accurately.According to thesituation of risk assessment,the comprehensive corresponding measures were putforward for the maintenance of the pipeline.It can also avoid the loss of the potentialpipeline accidents and improve the safety management level of the enterprise.Firstly,the characteristics of several kinds of risk assessment methods wereanalyses and the combination of qualitative and quantitive risk assessment methodsuitable for long-distance pipeline was determined.Based on the accident causing theoryand the foreign pipeline accident data,Fishbone Diagram Analysis was selected as thequalitative risk assessment method of long-distance pipeline.The main factors of thepipeline risk was identified by setting up the fishbone diagram of pipeline accidentpossibility and pipeline accident consequence severity.Secondly,the risk assessmentindex system of long-distance pipeline safety was established,including2first gradeindex,8second grade index and24third grade index.The weight of each index in therisk assessment index system were calculated using the mathematical probability modelin reliability engineering with the statistical analysis of pipeline accident of foreigndatabase and the long-distance pipeline safety risk assessment comprehensive model was established.In order to verify the feasibility and rationality of the long-distance pipeline safetyrisk comprehensive model,a long-distance pipeline in Shaanxi was selected as anexample for the risk assessment.The assessment results of the comprehensive model arein good according with the previous safety report and this results prove thecomprehensive model with excellent feasibility and rationality.In addition,thecorresponding suggestions for pipeline maintenance were put forward to reduce the risklevel of long-distance pipeline and provide the guarantee for the daily operation ofpipeline.
