This paper uses international advanced OLGA software to simulate corrosion ingathering pipeline. Based on different fluid components and pipeline condition, a corrosionmodel is built in OLGA software to calculate corrosion rate. This paper mainly studies the influences of temperature, partial pressure of CO2, watercontent, velocity, ions content and pipeline geometry on corrosion rate, finally to get auniversal corrosion law. This paper highlights the effects of gas velocity and shear stress onwater film and holdup liquid near pipeline wall. In the simulation, pipeline condition ischanged to study the how the inlet fluctuation, such as T, P and flow, affect pipeline corrosion. In the last, different models for calculation in OLGA is compared. Analysis for resultsdifferences is given, and range of application for each model is given too.The simulation result shows: for the gas gathering pipeline, when water content is below5%, corrosion rate is not affected by water conter. The flowing gas caused a sheer fore on thepipeline wall, affecting the liquid film attached to the wall, thereby affecting the corrosion. And the sheer force increases with gas velocity. When T and P increase on the pipelineentrance, the corrosion rate increases on the front part, but barely changes on the exit part. When the mass flow increases on the entrance, the overall corrosion rate increases. For the oil gathering pipeline, corrosion rate increases with water content, T and pressure. On the pipeline entrance where P and T are high, Cl-has a large impact on corrosion rate.
