There are some defects of ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) such aslow mechanical properties、low heat distortion temperature and poor creep resistance. In order toimprove the physical and mechanical properties of UHMWPE, in this paper, by adding woodpowder, bamboo charcoal powder, wood charcoal powder improve the physical mechanicalproperties of UHMWPE. We can reach the conclusion after analyzing the experimental testresults:(1) Because of adding the wood flour, the tensile strength and flexural strength ofUHMWPE improved to some extent. When wood flour content was70wt%, the flexural strengthof (WPC) wood plastic composite (23.1MPa) increased by50%than UHMWPE. When woodflour content is80wt%, the tensile strength of WPC(30.2MPa) increased by61.5%thanUHMWPE.(2) When bamboo charcoal content was80wt%, the tensile strength and flexural strengthreached maximum61.2MPa and91.3MPa, increased227.3%and492.9%than the pureUHMWPE respectively. When bamboo charcoal content was80wt%, at-30~30℃,30~80℃,the linear thermal expansion coefficient (LTEC) was52.8x10-6/℃,78.6x10-6/℃respectively,decreased69.9%,73.8%than the pure UHMWPE. When bamboo charcoal content was80wt%, water absorption reached maximum2.3%, was7.67times than the pure UHMWPE.Creep resistance of UHMWPE was very sensitive to temperature changes. When bamboocharcoal powder added to UHMWPE, the composite material reduced the temperaturedependence greatly. At80℃and stress level=1.5MPa, when bamboo charcoal powder contentwas60wt%,70wt%and80wt%, creep strain of the composite material decreased by95.9%,96.9%and97.1%compared with pure UHMWPE, respectively.(3) When wood charcoal content was80wt%, the tensile strength and flexural strengthreached maximum104.7MPa and96.7MPa, increased459.9%and527.9%than the pureUHMWPE respectively. When wood charcoal content was80wt%, at-30~30℃,30~80℃the linear thermal expansion coefficient (LTEC) was68.0x10-6/℃,94.9x10-6/℃respectively,decreased61.3%,68.3%than the pure UHMWPE. When bamboo charcoal content was80wt%,water absorption reached maximum1.96%, was6.53times than the pure UHMWPE.
