Zhou Qicheng And China Textile Education

The topic of this paper is based on characters of textile. There is relatively little research abouttextile characters in historic methods, only Chen Weiji and Qian Baojun et al and only fewrelated memorial articles about Zhou Qicheng, both at home and abroad, even the most basicintroduction are few, not to mention the specialized research, this is very unfair. The significanceof this paper, namely the rich textile character study, especially for the first generation of newChina Textile scholars, in such a perspective to consider the history of China Textile Scienceand textile industry.The research object of this paper--Mr. Zhou Qicheng, has been91years old, who is atextile expert, textile educator influential both at home and abroad, have made some contributionsto the textile industry, China Textile education, this paper takes his life experience, academicactivities, contributions for clues, tries to provide the study sample a character of Chinese modernhistory, starting a new angle of view for the textile development history of PRC.This paper takes Zhou Qicheng’s time span, is divided into four chapters. The first chaptertheme is "the historical background of Zhou Qicheng become scholars". Focusing on ZhouQicheng’s educational environment and social changes have a great change of his thinkingand ideas, he changed from a traditional society to a new era of student participants; the secondchapter generalizes Zhou Qicheng middle-aged study of Soviet perception, memory and itsinfluence. This time is to change the academic thought of Zhou Qicheng from the Western tothe turning point, Soviet style of this kind, not only is his personal memories, but a common trendsof the entire generation; the third chapter summarizes Zhou Qicheng in the academic researchachievements, its representative works for the trunk, and my research experience through oralinterview research Zhou Qi Cheng; the fourth chapter is Zhou Qicheng in his later years on thedevelopment of textile industry exposition, analysis and confirmed the view of history. Asa witness of the old and the new China change, for the textile subjects for the textile subjectscontribute lifetime scholar, he proposes a new direction for the development of textile industry inthe perspective of history.
