| Experiment teaching of mechanical discipline is an important wayfor students to learn the basic theory of mechanical courses. It cultivatesthe students’ innovative spirit and practical ability to improve the overallquality of students. Traditional experiment teaching already can’t meetthe needs of current experiment teaching. There exist experimentalequipment shortage, equipment aging, operating difficulties and otherissues. This impacts the enthusiasm of the students’ innovation during thestudy process of mechanical courses. The research and development ofmechanical discipline virtual experiment platform provides a way for thesolution to the problems above.Mechanism assembly experiment is an important part of themechanical discipline experiment teaching, aiming at deepening thestudents’ understanding of the mechanical kinematic principle. Most ofthe existing mechanism assembly virtual experiments only provide fixedmechanisms, used for one teaching example with limitations of singlekinematics simulation. Research of free assembly operations, as well asthe study of rapid mechanism motion simulation method, is conducive tothe application of virtual experiment platform for the mechanismassembly experiment.On the basis of analyzing the condition and problems of mechanicalassembly operations and analysis of kinematic simulation in virtualenvironment, the following research is presented:Firstly, study the modeling method of assembly constraint dynamicrecognition of virtual components in virtual assembly process, propose amodeling method which’s based on constraint feature, build theinformation models required in the mechanism assembly experiment and form a component library.Secondly, propose a virtual assembly solution of constraintsdynamic identification that supports dynamic creation of assemblyrelationship. Identification and matching between constraint features ofcomponents can be realized in the virtual assembly process. With theresult of the matches, assembly information is automatically generated bythe corresponding mapping criteria, as to realize free assembly operationsbetween components.Again, by using Bullet kinematics simulation software, study themapping method between the mechanical assembly information modeland the kinematic simulation logic model, build the kinematics simulationlogic models during assembly operations. The logic model is applied inkinematics simulation and the real-time simulation result is used to drivethe mechanism in virtual environment.Finally, develop a virtual experiment platform for mechanismassembly on the basis of the technical solutions mentioned above. Andverify the correctness and effectiveness of the methods described withinstances demonstration. |
