Kiln is the core of the building materials industry, but also a pillar of thenational economy. It’s normal operation directly affect the output and quality ofcement, so the entire cement industry wants to maintain kiln by the right means.However, because of its complex condition, bulky, high temperature, we obtain theoverall health of rotary kiln is difficult to measure by conventional methods. Soobtaining rotary kiln shell circumferential and axial stress distribution for the plantthe technical staff is very urgent.In this paper, the use of numerical analysis-the finite element method, bydetermining the appropriate boundary conditions, using ANSYS software, advancedmodeling techniques, the finite element simulation analysis model rotary kiln, anduse a combination of ANSYS load case, the path analysis and other advancedpost-processing techniques on stress and strain simulation analysis.By analyzing the obtained rotary kiln overall stress distribution, but alsoconsider the impact of the mid-range of the rotary kiln stress distribution; and thepaper also gives the circumferential direction when the cylinder temperaturedistribution is uneven, elliptical cylinder rotary kiln the degree of impact.Through the above work, find the stress distribution and dangerous section ofthe rotary kiln, rotary kiln to provide theoretical guidance for the maintenance andadjustment.
