Anti-fingerprint treatment is a process, which is treated the metal surface by chemical and electrochemical method. The after-treated panel is called anti-fingerprint panel. The initial of anti-fingerprint treatment is innovated in Japan in1980’s, which requested by electronic application customers. The first version of anti-fingerprint sample is using something that is similar to people’s fingerprint to coat the panels. General speaking, anti-fingerprint property is the capacity of pollution resistance.Current anti-fingerprint treatment has two main methods:one is inorganic passivation, the other is organic coating. For the inorganic passivation, the common way is using Chromate, which could get excellent performance at low cost. However, Chromate is poisonous and harmful for the environment and people’s health. For organic coating method, the environmental is advantage while high cost and poor bake resistance are the gaps which are needed to improve,In this paper, lithium silicate、glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane(KH-560) and1,2-bis-(trimethoxysily)ethane (BTMSE) reacted together by using sol-gel and inorganic-organic hybrid methods. We compared different formulae based on different amount of lithium silicate and silanes to research the film performance by using SEM, FTIR, XRF analytic method and capability testing. In addition, we found when the mass percentage of lithium silicate is equal to9-13%, the mass percentage of glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane is equal to4-7%, and the mass percentage of1,2-bis-(trimethoxysily)ethane is equal to3-6%, optimal file performance can be obtained.Besides, in this paper, we tried to coat the chromium-free anti-fingerprint sample under different coating weight and different drying temperature on hot dip galvanize (HDG) substrate. We found that the coating weight is around0.8-1.0g/m2and PMT is higher than100℃could obtain best film performance. We also compared this Chromium free anti-fingerprint sample with some commercial products from market. We find lab synthetic sample has better bake resistance and alkali resistance than others.We also introduced acrylic monomer into silane monomer to produce acrylic modified silicone polymer. We combined this acrylic resin with the chromium-free anti-fingerprint sample which we produced before to make organic and inorganic hybrid sample. We used commercial water-based resin as control. Through performance testing, we find lab synthetic acrylic modified silane polymer has similar property as control, while the bake resistance and compatibility are better.
