Exhaust filter is an important component of automobile exhaust emissions filtering, and its filtering effect is directly related to the natural environment. Currently, the material of exhaust filter is almost from cordierite or carbon particles in the market. Although they met the market now, it is urgent to conserve energy since the global problem is still serious resource extraction. The shortage of resources is inevitable in the coming years since cordierite materials can not be recycled. This passage explores a kind of filter material by researching and analyzing the characteristics of micron wood fiber powder filter. This new material can improve the filtration efficiency, save resource, and improve the overall performance of the new filter products. Meanwhile, the author proposed a new idea that the micron wood fiber powder is can applied to the engine exhaust system instead of the exhaust filter in the market now.As automobile exhaust filter, it can use its holes to adsorb PM2.5dust particles.The passage proposes a opinion that the cavities of the wood fiber can also play a role in filtering by studying the hole characteristics and filtering mechanism of micron wood fiber and wood flour particle, by analyzing the filtering effect of cavities for PM2.5dust particles. The author brings up a logical hypothesis boldly and designs a new way to produce the wood fiber powder filter and made it. The method becomes better and better by correcting again and again. In the experiment, the fact was confirmed that the cavities of the wood fiber wood flour can also filter large exhaust particles. Then the next study is about the size hole of the wood fiber and wood particle, and the result is that each wood flour particle is also composed of numerous cells no matter how small it is, and the surface of each cell is existed a large number of holes.Though these cavities’diameter is small, it plays a very important role to filter a majority of particles. A matched filter can filter the car exhaust faced when study the filter.In the process of this study, I build a three-dimensional model of Micron Wood fiber, and use fluent software to set reasonable meshing and boundary conditions for three-dimensional model of the filter. Then by selecting the appropriate solver and equation, the author obtains the results of filter surface’s hydrodynamics,and understands the filter surface’s hydrodynamics suits gas flow. This paper demonstrates micron wood fiber powder hole have a good effect on filter PM2.5dust, and because timber is the rich resources and renewable energy, which has a very good prospect to filter PM2.5dust particles after reasonable calculation.
