| Abstract:Rutile is a major kind of titanium-bearing minerals which is widly used in aviation,aerospace,chemical industry,machinery.et al,and it is an important raw material to produce Ti and titanium dioxide.But at present, rutile resource hasn’t gotten proper use for its biggest constrain of the inefficiency of mineral processing technology.This article aims at the refractory situation of fine rutile ores in Zaoyang,and does some researches on its process mineralogy,then has a study on the flotation of rutile base on these researches,meanwhile it studies the separatation of pury minerals rutile and garnet by flotation and the mechanism of action the collector on rutile by the measurement of zeta potential and infrared spectroscopy.The analysis of process mineralogy shows in the ores the major titanium-bearing mineral is rutile and there are little ilmenite and sphene,the major gangue mineral is hornblende,the rests are a little amout of garnet, muscovite, epidote, feldspar, chlorite, clay, quartz,etc.The dissemination of rutile are distributed in a broad range with fine particles,and rutile’s association and dissemination are very complex;a samll amount of rutile contains ilmeniteã€hornblende and other inclusions that have magnetism,thus leading rutile getting magnetism.The analysis of magnetism shows ilmenite can be separated at the magnetic intensity of400mT,rutile can be concentrated in the nonmagnetic products at the magnetic intensity of700mT.On the basis of the research of process mineralogy,the paper does a research on the separability of ore,and finally confirms the processes of flotation as the beneficiation flowsheet via a series of probe tests of gravity separation,magnetic concentration and flotation.Through the research of flotation process and reagent system,the article compared the test of the reagent combination of benzyl arsenic acid and C5~9hydroximic acid as the collector and that of C5~9hydroximic acid as the collector,the results shows that they can get the similar recovery of concentration while its TiO2grade of the former is twice as much as that of the latter.We can obtian a concentration of grade of the TiO243.25%, and recovery of69.10%adopting the flowsheet of one roughing, three cleaning and two scavenging and sequential return for middlings with the reagent combination of benzyl arsenic acid and C5~9hydroximic acid,and get an effective recovry of rutile.Meanwhile, benzyl arsenic acid is poisonous and harmful to the environment,so we need to absorb the merits of benzyl arsenic acid, strengthen the research on its interaction mechanism with rutile and its structure and develop a new and efficient flotation reagents which is environmentally friendly.Pure minerals experiments show rutile and garnet can surface effectively by Octyl hydroxyl acid,and the optimum pH for flotation is9.0~10.0,lead nitrate can activate rutile effectually,the addition of sodium fluosilicate can depress garnet remarkably,and separate from rutile;The PZC of rutile is about3.9,the adsorption of octyl hydroxamic acid on the tutile changed it to3.1,and made the zeta potential of rutile more negative,there is a adsorption between octyl hydroxamic acid and Ti;The analysis of infrared spectroscopy shows octyl hydroxamic acid is adsorbed on the surface of rutile by chemical forces and the pruduction is pentabasic chelate by the binding of ligand and titanium particles.There are36pictures,27tables and94references. |
