Using saturated cashew phenol as raw materials, saturated cashew phenolpolyoxyethylene ether carboxylates (abbreviated as SCPEC) and Gemini saturated cashewphenol polyoxyethylene ether carboxylates (abbreviated as GSCPEC) were prepared throughthe ring-opening polymerization reaction, alkaline reaction, carboxymethylated reaction. Thestructure of SCPEC and GSCPEC were characterized by FT-IR and1H NMR. The surfaceability, wetting ability, emulsifying ability, foam property, interfacial tension anddisplacement performance were characterized.We using a drop-volum method to measure the surface tension of anion-nonioniccashew phenol surfactants, and using a surface tension method to investigate thethermodynamic properties of micellization in aqueous solution for SCPEC, GSCPEC. Resultsshow that the cmc of SCPEC in aqueous solution is lower than CPEC. And the cmc value ofGemini surfactant in aqueous solution is lower than the traditional surfactant, which theefficient of reducing the surface tension is better. The formation ability and the stability of themicelles increase with EO groups.The results show that the wetting contact angles of anion-nonionic cashew phenolsurfactants increase after decrease first, and the contact angles of them have been decrease. At25℃, the emulsification property of surfactants decreased after increase first with theincrease of the concentration. The volume of foam were measured by oscillation method, theresult shows that, the Gemini surfactant foaming property and foam stability is better than thetraditional surfactant. The evaluation of interfacial activity of products showed that value ofGSCPEC-10was0.055mN·m-1when the concentration of surfactant was0.3%, theconcentration of base was1.2%and concentration of salt was3.5%. The core experiment inlaboratory demonstrates that the GSCPEC-10flooding has enhanced by11.74%more thanthat of water displacement, and the petroleum sulfonate has enhanced by16.48more than thatof water displacement.
