With the increasing development of metallurgical industry and environmentalrequirements. Requires a high life while slide plate with low pollution, low energyconsumption and are adapted in special steel, clean steel smelting requirements.Based on the understanding of basic access to a large number of domestic and foreignliterature and widely used material on slide plate. In this paper,97%of fusedmagnesia as main raw material, adding metal as its matrix-phase in high temperaturewith preparing the basic slide plate. Research the impact of the firing system, theintroduction formalisation of metal and magnesian raw materials for basic slide platethermal shock resistance and high temperature flexural properties. By XRD, SEM andother instruments and means of microstructure and properties of the products wereanalyzed. The results show that since the metal with plasticity and ductility can beimproved compactness of slide plate. High temperature molten metal to form anetwork structure in the sample, the magnesia particles cemented together.Inhibitedby the binding force of the sample crack generation and expansion of the moltenmetal to improve the thermal shock capabilities slide plate. When the metal material isintroduced as aluminum powder in basic slide plate and in1000℃reducingatmosphere firing have the best performance. When basic raw material for themagnesium aluminate spinel form1-0mm and MgO ZrO2sand200mesh introductionof aluminum combined with basic slide plate, its best performance.
