| To cope with the global climate change and environmental problems, countries all over the world are promoting low carbon development. Chinese government has already set the energy saving and carbon emission goals in2020. Viewed as the most important energy industry, power industry plays a significant role in promoting low carbon development. Power grid connects power generation side and power consumption side, which can help achieve low carbon benefits in power industry. Also, efficient transmission and distribution technologies and optimized operation mode can enable power grid itself to reduce carbon emission. Therefore, it seems vital to research on the capability of power grid enterprises to promote low-carbon development and the corresponding benefits assessment model.In this thesis, first, the status situation of power grid enterprises to achieve lower carbon development is discussed. Second, according to the coping measures adopted by power grid companies, the capabilities and benefits of power grid enterprises to promote low-carbon development are analyzed. Consequently, the index system of the capabilities and benefits of power grid enterprises to promote low-carbon development is obtained. Third, a comprehensive evaluation model based on inter-number fuzzy analytic hierarchy process is established from the perspective of qualitative analysis, and at the same time, a calculation model based on the calculation of carbon emissions is established from the perspective of quantitative analysis. Finally, a case study of the state grid X electric power company is applied to illustrate the proposed model and approach.Research results show that state grid X electric power company has great low carbon benefits. Also, the carbon emissions of the company between2011an2020can reach934.78million t,1206.76million t, and1536.24million t under three different scenarios. It turns out that the improvement of renewable energies integration contributes a lot to the carbon emissions, indicating that optimization power generation and enlarging the renewable energies integration seems to be the best way to achieve low carbon development. All these results can provide valuable reference for the power grid companies to achieve low carbon development. |
