Abstract/Summary:
Alkyl benzenes and Poly alpha olefin (PAO) are two promising varieties in lubricatingoil.The first,a kind of reaction could occur synthesized with AlCl3catalyst by changing themolar ratio of benzene to1-hexadecane. Then, we could sure that a kind of high performancelubricating oil consisted of PAO and alkylbenzene could in situ synthesized withEt3NHCl-AlCl3ionic liquid catalyst by changing the molar ratio of benzene to1-hexadecane.The effects of benzene/1-hexadecane molar ratio (1:2~1:5), reaction temperature (25~75℃)and reaction time(1~4h) were investigated. The composition and structure of the productswere characterized by GC, IR,1H-NMR and13C-NMR methods. The viscosity, the pourpoint and the molecular mass of the product were determined according to National Standardsof Test Method to Petroleum and Petroleum Products. The results show that the productgained at the different experiment conditions is a kind of high performance lubricating baseoil with high viscosity index(140~180),low pour point(-14~-23℃),medium viscosity(υ100℃=11.39~25.4mm2/s),a moderate molecular mass (538~740), which possesses both theadvantages of PAO and alkylbenzene.At last, a kind of high performance lubricating oil wasin situ synthesized with Et3NHCl-AlCl3ionic liquid catalyst by changing the molar ratio of1-decene to1-hexadecane. The compositions and structure of the products were characterizedby IR method, the relevant properties of the products are determined. The results showed thatthe lubricant compositions had low volatility, high viscosity index(152~179), low pour point(-12℃~-38℃), medium viscosity at100℃(28.4~40.5mm2/s), and moderate molecular mass(641~1103).
