This thesis is focused on modifing epoxy acrylate by using dicarboxylic acids and synthesized carboxyl-terminated diol polyester, in order to maintain its good strength and improve the flexibility of UV-curabled epoxy acrylate, this thesis contains the following two parts:1. The intermediate with flexible groups could be synthesized from dicarboxylic acids and epoxy acrylate, besides, the intermediate could react with acrylic acid to construct epoxy acrylate as the body resin. Compared with the results of the three-modified dicarboxylic acid, the epoxy acrylate obtained from adipic acid which could improve the strength and flexibility. When the ratio of added adipic acid with epoxy material was0.15, modified EA has good flexibility and strength; with the rising amount of adipic acid, a sharp increase in the viscosity of the prepolymer, the strength of the cured film was significantly reduced. Factors affecting prepolymerization was discussed:(1) The prepolymerization temperature in the first stage was preferably95℃, then the temperature was raised to105℃, high temperature would damage the double bond and enhance the color of the reaction system;(2)1%a mount of the total catalyst mass of triphenylphosphine and2%of a polymerization inhibitor of acrylic acid hydroxy anisole was added, to ensure the ring-opening esterification reaction proceed smoothly. For the epoxy acrylate, a reactive diluent45%of TPGDA and reactive diluent5%of TMPTA were added, the4%photoinitiator of the1173, and the viscosity of the formulated liquid was47S, tensile strength was12.52MPa, flexibility was2mm.2. To further improve the flexibility of the EA-modified and overcome the larger viscosity and less strength which was caught by adipic acid, the synthesized carboxyl-terminated polyester was used in place of the epoxy acrylate which was modified by adipic acid to obtain the epoxy acrylate with better flexibility and lowered physical strength, the flexibility of modified epoxy acrylate was improved1.5mm, but also improving the resistance to yellow. The performance of modified epoxy acrylate was excellent and industrialization was achieved.
