Apply Design Of Enshi Tujia Traditional Costume

The Tujia costume is one of the important parts of china’s ethnic costumes. It shows the different emotional needs and aesthetic psychology of Tujia people by its unique color,design and style. Nevertheless, in a age that Ethnic culture diversity is gradually disappearand people are live the same way, The Tujia costume is gradually becoming more and more far away from people’s daily life. How to protect and develop the traditional Tujia costumes is a important problem to be solved.The Tujia nationality mainly lived in Wu Ling mountain areas, located at boarder ofHunan, Hubei, Guizhou, Chongqing providences. So it is quite difficult to design and research the application of Tujia costume for a such large area; As a result, this paper selected Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture of Hubei province as the study area. Field survey of the applications of Enshi Tujia traditional clothing design and application, finding out that lack of Tujia costume consumption market and unified design specification are themain problems existed. To solve the problems above, by researching and analysis, the author put forward suggestions to development the Tujia nationality clothing consumption market. By investigating the Enshi Tujia costume culture, specification of Enshi Tujia traditional clothing application design are proposed.
