PFCs surfactant is the most difficult organic contaminant for degradation in the worldcurrently with the features, such as biological accumulation, degradation difficulties, common existence and biological toxic effects. This subject was aim at studying thetoxicology effects of perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS) and pefluorocatanate acid (PFOA)on experimental animals. The investigation includes the acute toxicity test of PFCs on Daphnia magna and zebrafish embryo, the sub acute toxicity test of PFCs on Daphnia magna and daughter21drecovery experiment. LC50and EC50of PFCs on zebra fish embryo and Daphnia magna, the first brood and spawning time, the first spawns and the survival rate in the sub acutetoxicity experiment, the spawning times, total spawns and intrinsic increasing rate in thewhole experiment process should be determined. The sensitivities of experimental animalson two kinds of compounds should be also compared so as to realize and evaluate thecontamination behaviors of PFCs on the environment. Results demonstrated that thetoxicities of PFOS and PFOA on Daphnia magna and zebra fish embryo increase with thethe increase of density and exposure time. In accordance with the ecological toxicitygrading of fish type, the toxic effects of PFOS and PFOA on Daphnia magna belongs tolow toxic effect. PFOA belongs to low toxic substance to zebra fish and PFOS belongs tomedium toxic substance. The most sensitive toxicity end point of PFOS on zebra fishembryo was the deformity of the spine. However, incubation suppression was a highsensitive index for96h exposure of PFOA. During the21d exposure experiment, with theincrease of two kinds of PFCs exposure densities, the breeding of Daphnia magna wassuppressed gradually. Without the influence of PFCs, the growth and development indexof offspring Fl(lst) recovered compared to F0generation Daphnia magna. However, somedifferences still exist in offspring Fl(lst) when compared to the blank control group andthis trend performed more apparently in the high concentration group. Without the effectsof PFCs, the recovery of toxicity index in F1(3rd) drawed nearly to the blank controlgroup. The intrinsic increasing rates of F0and F1(1st) were decreased with the increase ofparent exposure concentration, and the intrinsic increasing rate of F1(3rd) differed notmuch from the contrast group. In all experiments, PFOS demonstrated the strongertoxicity than that of PFOA. The research provided the basis for the further development of the research on the lowconcentration and chronic aquatic toxicity of this substance, compensating the lack of thedata of aquatic biological toxicity of this substance at the same time and providing thescientific evidences for the establishment of the safe environmental influencingconcentration and its ecological risk evaluation and management.
