The car-running accident in inclined shaft rail which is a kind of multipleaccidents in coal mine gradually become one of the five disasters to threat the safetyin production. In order to avoid or reduce harms of car-running accident,anti-car-running devices must be set in the inclined shaft’s transportation line in theprocess of mine auxiliary transportation, which are the provisions from the eighthchapter378th of "coal mine safety regulations". Nowadays although there are manykinds of anti-car-running devices, there are lots of problems in varying degrees,whichalmost belong to passive protection devices. As a result, car-running accidents whichare hard to control in inclined shaft rail often happen, which serious impact thetransport efficiency and threaten personal safety. Therefore, the arrest system ofdynamic car in inclined shaft rail was designed to improve or eliminate car-runningaccidents in this paper. The main research work of this paper includes the followingaspects:Firstly, the overall scheme for the arrest system of dynamic car in inclined shaftrail was designed, including the car-running overspeed monitoring system andstructural concepts of the brake car.Secondly, parameters’ design requirements and design indexes for arrest devicesof dynamic car in inclined shaft rail were put forward. In addition, the mainparameters were calculated.Thirdly, simulation models on arrest system of dynamic car in inclined shaft railwere established based on ADAMS and AMESim, through which overallperformances of the system were studied for each working conditions. In addition,stress analysises on wedge box, brake stop and shaft were made by the method to useknowledge of mechanics and the finite element software.Finally, the hydraulic test system on the arrest system of dynamic car in inclinedshaft rail was set up. Speed limited values for car-running devices were test indifferent working conditions. The triggering effect and the performance of pressurerelief on the brake cylinder were studied to utilize the test bench.Results from researches show that the arrest system of dynamic car in inclinedshaft rail conforms to parameters’ design requirements. The system is not only fastand reliable to catch the car signal. Structure strengths of key parts meet requirements.The brake mechanism can be triggered quickly and the train can be braked automatically, instantly and smoothly.
