The Sub-Region Environmental Governance Of Lancang-Mekong In The View Of Ecological Politics Perspective

Ecological environment problem has been an urgent and importantresearch topic in the world.The governance concerns in Lancang-Mekongsub-regional ecological environment have directly affected the surroundingcountries’ normal exchange in economic and trade,political mutual trust andcultural exchanges,and so on.So it is paid more attention in theacademic.Lancang-Mekong sub-region ecological environment managementas a research object,this paper is to analyze the root and solutions for thesub-regional ecological environment problems with the view of ecologicalpolitics perspective.There are three parts.Part one discusses the reflection ecological politics theory to thinkingabout the Lancang-Mekong problems of ecological environment governance.Itexplores the ecological and environmental governance issues with Marxism.Part two refers to the current situation and environmental securityproblems about Lancang-Mekong sub-regional ecological environment. Itdiscusses five basic levels from the area of sub-region’s main environmentalproblems: the ecological environment problem not being the first politicalproblem,the sub-region ecological environment not being realizedinternational cooperation,the continuous conflicts because of fightingmaterials and other natural resources,not being made full use of environmentalpolicies to solve ecological environmental issues,and unrealizing to take thedemocratic principle as environmental policy’s starting point. Part three discusses the the sub-region ecological politics’ systemguarantee.This paper refers to the five system guarantees: sharing theenvironment information and resource,overcoming “dissimilationconsumption” and advocating rational consumption,laws and regulations andgrassroots’ participation,carrying out a “steady” model of economicdevelopment,and strengthening dialogue mechanism and internationalcooperation.Only basing on the ecological politic perspective could develop theadvances the regional economical,and provides the active internationalcooperation platform to realize common prosperity.
