Due to its excellent physical and chemical property, vanadium was applied widely,and it was well known of the “vitamin” of metal. Vanadium pentoxide was widely usedin many fields, such as the metallurgy, the chemical industry and the aerospace industry,especially in smelting ferrovanadium. The vanadium pentoxide was mainly productedby wet-precipitation of vanadium (hydrolytic precipitation of vanadium and ammoniumsalt precipitation of vanadium). The content of V2O5which was prepared by hydrolyzedprecipitation of vanadium was just only80%~90%, and it had many disadvantages, suchas a low purity, a large amount of acid consumption and a large amount of wastewater.The acidic ammonium precipitation of vanadium was widely used in our country from1980s. The vanadium solution generally contained phosphorus, manganese and otherimpurity ions, which affected the precipitation rate of vanadium seriously, especiallyphosphorus. Exploring new way to solve the problem of the low precipitation rate ofvanadium is for future development and very important.The paper combined the hydrothermal with precipitation of vanadium, and studiedthe effect to the precipitation rate of vanadium. The property of vanadium solutionwhich was used in this artical was sol, and the property of the sol was related to themetal ions, such as magnesium, calcium and so on. The property of sol was systematicstudied in this article. Considered the influence of behavior of precipitation vanadium(hydrolytic and ammonium salt hydrothermal) with time, pH and temperature, and thevanadium dynamics equation of hydrothermal with precipitation of vanadium could bededucted through these factors on precipitation rate of vanadium, thus the best reactionconditions could be obtained.(1)The cationic of vanadate used in this paper was alkaline earth metal, such asmagnesium, calcium and strontium, the cationic of metal had the greater atomic number,the property of sol which was prepared by vanadate was more stable and theprecipitation rate of vanadium was higher.(2) Vanadium sol had a lot of phosphorus,when using hydrothermal precipitation of vanadium, the precipitation rate of vanadiumof hydrolytic and ammonium salt was up to99%. Compared with the traditionalprecipitation of vanadium, hydrothermal precipitation of vanadium had higherprecipitation rate of vanadium, it was simple and efficient to handle, and it was helpful for improving the technology of precipitation vanadium in the future.
