| The mould is the important device in continuous casting production process. Thevibration quality is directly related to the yield and quality of billet. Therefore, in thecontinuous casting process, the mould oscillation state monitoring has importantsignificance and practical value. This paper introduced the status of production processdevelopment of continuous casting and mould vibration control technology, discussedthe mould oscillation mechanism commonly used and its working principle, analyzed theeffect of technological parameters of mould oscillation quality and vibration curve, and onthis basis to design the control system of the mould vibration based on virtual instrument.Before the industrial computer control technology was widely used, complex, fixedfunction, poor cooperation, slow-speed technology innovation, high maintenance cost andso on were the traits of traditional mould monitoring system. In recent years, with the rapiddevelopment of electronic and information technology, virtual instrument technology hasbeen applied more and more widely because of its flexibility, high integration,expansibility and convenient maintenance. This paper developed a set of the onlinemonitoring system for the continuous casting with signal acquisition, data analyzing andgood human-computer interaction interface by PXI system and graphical programminglanguage LabVIEW. The paper introduced overall design and designs of virtual instrumentpanel, vibration waveform generation module, displacement data collection module, PIDcontrol module and Data management. The system uses PXI-6143, the synchronous dataacquisition device produced by NI, to realize data collection. The data are processed in PXIembedded device and control signals are output by output equipment PXI-6722.The system can obtain velocity, frequency, amplitude, vibration deviation and otherkey process parameters through the real-time monitoring of the state of mould oscillation.In addition, these data of the mould oscillation would be used to optimize the parameters,improve the production quality of casting billet and reduce the accident rate. The testing inlaboratory validated feasibility and practicality of the system. |
