Modified silicone oil surfactant had the property of wettability and permeability, whichwere widely used as textile finishing. It could make the fabric soft and smooth. However,some products had the disadvantage of poor hydrophilic that caused product not easy toself-emulsify and the fabric was easy to turn yellow. In this paper, firstly the raw material ofhydrogen-containing silicone oil and intermediate of ester modified silicone oil weresynthesized, then two new types of modified silicone oil surfactant were synthesized byreaction of polyether amine and modified silicone in order to overcome the disadvantage.Firstly, hydrogen-containing silicone oil was synthesized by catalyst of acidic cationexchange resin.The optimum conditions were obtained as follows:the catalyst dosage of6.5%,the proton concentration of6mmol/g,the particle size of0.4~0.6mm,the reaction timeof6hour,the temperature of80℃and the usage life of catalyst was20times.Secondly the ester modified silicone oil was synthesized by hydrosilylation of methylmethacrylate and hydrogen-containing silicone oil, the optimum conditions were obtained asfollows: the temperature of85℃,the reaction time of10hour, n(C=C):n(Si-H)=1.2:1, thecatalyst dosage of0.006%,the solvent dosage of30%.Then the polyether amide modified polysiloxane was synthesized by ammonolysis of theester modified silicone oil with polyether amine, the optimum conditions were obtained asfollows: the molar ratio of amino group to ester group was1.1, the temperature of80℃, thecatalyst dosage of0.45%, the reaction time of6hour, the solvent dosage of30%.Finally the hydroxyl polyether amide modified polysiloxane was synthesized byaminating of the epoxy modified silicone oil with polyether amine, the optimum conditionswere also obtained as follows: the molar ratio of amino group to epoxy group was1.2, thetemperature of50℃, the reaction time of4hour, the solvent dosage of30%.All the products were characterized and proved by FI-IR.The result showed that twokinds of products had the good self-emulsifying ability,all the emulsion had good stability ofresistance to centrifugal, high temperature, low temperature, acid, base and salt. The averageparticle size of two kinds emulsion were170nm and103nm, the particle size distribution werenormal. The products had the high surface activity that their critical micelle concentrations were1g/L, which could apparently reduce the suface tension of water to21.08mN/m and22.15mN/m. The two kinds of products were applied to fabric finishing performance test.Comparing with unmodified amino-silicone oil, our products could apparently improve thehydrophylicity and whiteness, but poorer softness. Comparing with hydrophilic aminosilicone oil (S350) in the market, our products had the same hydrophylicity and whiteness, butbetter whiteness. Therefore, our products could be considered as better organic siliconhydrophilic softener, which had broad application prospects.
