Graphene is a two-dimensional material composed by a series consisting of asingle layer of carbon atoms, its special structure, having a single atomic layer withmany unique physical and chemical properties, has become a hot topic and been paidgreatly attention in the current research. There are several methods to prepare thegrapheme which have been studied and published, including solid state methods:mechanical stripping, epitaxy growth et al, liquid state methods: oxidation reduction, organic synthesis, solvothermal method et al, and gas state: chemical vapordeposition, arc-discharge method et al. Graphene has widely showed a great potentialin its future application of supercapacitors, Li-ion batteries, nanocomposites andwill be a possible new type of electronic material to replace silicon material in thefuture. This thesis, mainly based on the chemical vapor deposition method by changingthe key parameters in the preparation process to achieve the preparation of graphene. On the redox method, the paper preparation process by changing the traditionalmethods of process parameters to achieve optimal graphene and graphene preparedby conventional methods were compared; In the chemical vapor deposition method, the graphite substrate oxidation by hydrogen reduction with hydrogen without addingthe two methods were compared; On the basis of the above four methods, were madeof Raman and scanning electron microscopy (SEM), the test results showed that:graphene samples prepared at the level of quality and purity CVD order is preparedwithout the addition of hydrogen in graphene ID/IG’s ratio of0.11, a large amount ofhydrogen reduction of graphene oxide graphene ratio ID/IG0.8, traditional parametersimprove graphene ratio ID/IGis0.87, the ratio of the graphene prepared byconventional Method ID/IGis1.02; using XRD diffracted rays prepared by CVDgraphene were characterized from the diffraction pattern, we can see the purity ofgraphene prepared better. Finally, conclusions and outlook of the thesis mainly introduces the conclusionof graphene prepared by chemical vapor deposition, and the relevant comparison between traditional and modified methods. Experimental results show that theperformance and quality of grapheme have been greatly improved. In this thesis, thedetailed suggestions how to improve CVD tube furnace and catalyst are alsoproposed.
