| The centrifugal compressors are widely applied to the fields of chemical industry,energy engineering and aerodynamics. During the centrifugal compressors ofchemical industry operating, the media is generally real gas. The performance of thereal gas is obviously different from the ideal gas, especially for the mixed real gas.The change of centrifugal compressor performance can’t be neglected that generatedby the real gas. With the increasing demand of high efficiency and energy saving,more attention has been paid to the application and research of real-gas centrifugalcompressors.This paper started at the CFD numerical simulation of the centrifugal compressorimpeller. The investigation of the physical property of real gas and the changes of thethermal performance were carried for different state conditions of real gas in thecompressor to clearly understand the centrifugal compressor performance with realgas. In order to obtain the flow parameters of the real gas quickly in the compressor,the LabVIEW software development platform was used to combine with the real gasthermodynamic parameters calculation and the calculation of the compressorperformance parameters to develop the “real gas property calculation softwaresystemâ€,“real gas centrifugal compressor performance system on lineâ€, and “real gassimilar conversion moduleâ€.The first software system includes the calculation of thethermodynamic parameters of the pure and mixed real gas. The second softwaresystem is based on the principle of centrifugal compressor performance, combinedwith the real gas thermodynamic parameters for performance calculation. The similarprinciple was used in the “Real gas similar conversion module†and predict theunknown operating parameters of compressor aerodynamic performancecorresponding to the existing aerodynamic performance results.The numerical simulation of real gas, the calculation methods of real gasthermodynamic properties, the centrifugal compressor performance with real gas andthe similarity transformation system software will be beneficial to the engineeringapplications of real gas thermodynamic properties and the technology upgrading ofaerodynamic design of centrifugal machinary. |
