Because of the shell has beautiful shape, the stress reasonable and economical advantages, a large number of applications in engineering practice,but most studies focused in complete closed thin-walled members. Today more and more thin-walled members to be used in practical engineering,but the opening of the cracked shell less research. The opening-thin-walled shell has many damage forms, whether it is typically the buckling failure or fracture of thin shell structure destruction, are all suddenly, and course serious accdents,so the thin-shell structure of the security and safety evaluation method has been more and more attentions and researches in the engineering,we must study the open thin-walled shell structures and buckling equilibrium path and ultimate bearing capacity with crack to containing.Based on those,the research contents of this paper are mainly for the establishment of safety evaluation method of thin shell structure:(1) Research of the mechanical behavior of open thin-walled shell structures with crack fracture. In the elastic condition, the stress intensity factor is an important parameter for characterizing the fracture structure, it can be used to determine whether the member will enter the unstable fracture state.The paper study of the problem with crack open cylindrical shell node fault,based on the theory of J integral by finite element method of containing the ring to the crack opening thin-walled cylindrical shell structure under eccentric compression fracture mechanics response, analysis the load size, eccentricity,the crack length, opening size of crack stress intensity factor of influence,which is opening thin-walled cylindrical shell structure fracture behavior safety evaluation method must be established.(2) Research of the thin-walled elastic buckling behavior of cracked shell structure. Crack would exacerbate existing open thin-walled shell structures of pre buckling deformation, will also affect the shell buckling equilibrium path and the limit bearing capacity. Therefore, this paper analyzes the crack opening thin shell structural elastic buckling behavior, the analysis of the load size,eccentricity, crack length, opening size to open the deformation of cylindrical thin cylindrical shell structure, section crack opening displacement, the influence of pre buckling equilibrium path and ultimate bearing capacity,which is opening thin-walled cylindrical shell buckling safety evaluation method must be established.
