With the continuous development of science and technology, in many circumstances rigid structure can not meet the structure demand of new industry, flexible structure began to be widely used in aerospace, machinery manufacturing, marine engineering and other fields. Flexible structure is characterized with large flexibility and low damping, when subjected to disturbance, it?s easy to produce long time sustained vibration which impacts system to work correctly, reduces system?s production efficiency and accelerates structural damage. However, the complex structural characteristics of flexible structure system bring great difficulty in modeling and vibration control. Therefore, the vibration control of flexible structure system has become one of the research hotspots at home and abroad.This paper studies flexible conveyer belt and flexible manipulator which are two kinds of typical flexible structure system, and takes a research on modeling, vibration control and simulation system design of the fexible structure system. The main contents of this paper are as follows:1. For distributed parameter systems such as flexible structure, we analyse the dynamic characteristics of the flexible structure system from the point of view of energy. By using Hamilton?s principle and variational calculation, we get the partial differential equations and boundary conditions that are used to express infinite dimensional model of the system.2. To solve the shortcomings of model reduction method, we design boundary control method to suppress structure vibration by combining bounadary control technology with Lyapunov method based on the dynamic partial differential equations, then verify the effectiveness of the control method by using Lyapunov direct method to prove the control system stability. Among the flexible structure system, we use PD control law to suppress the vibration of flexible conveyer belt quickly, and use robust adaptive control law which can control the vibration displacement of flexible manipulator with boundary unknown disturbances and compensate parameter uncertainty of the system.3. By using Matlab GUI and Android programming, we complete the design of the simulation system where we do simulation experiments on. The real-time vibration process of the system is simulated by using Matlab GUI programming, and the Android application is used to monitor and save vibration datas and also calculate control quantity. The real-time communication between the two parts of simulation system is achieved through the serial port. Finally, the effectiveness of designed PD and robust adaptive active control laws has been verified by simulation experiments.
