As an important storage and transportation space of biogenic elements and substances in karst areas.Under certain climatic conditions,Epikarst there are some influential factors, such as lithology, topography, landform, vegetation,so soil and so on. Our study was implemented in the crisscross region of Shuangqing and Houchang village within Jinlan Town in Qianxi County, Guizhou Province.Aerophotogrammetry, 3S technology,Ground-penetrating Radar, and Kriging Interpolation are comprehensive used to obtain, process and analyze the DEM data, the thickness data of epikarst zone, the GPS coordinates, vegetation cover degree, bare rock radio for the further research of coupling relationships between Epikarst developing thickness and these factors in Karst Mountains. The results of this research can be of great help in exploring and understanding the law of Epikarst developing thickness, and provide a scientific basis for control of rocky-desertification, ecological restoration and developmentin and use of water resources in Karst rocky desertification regions. The main results showed the following:(1) The hydrodynamic condition is the dominant control factor of the development of the Epikarst zone. Under the conditions of other conditions, the hydrodynamic condition is good, the development of the Epikarst zone is larger.(2) In the study area, the thickness of the Epikarst zone in the exposed area is larger than the area covered by the thick soil, and the thickness of the epikarst zone increases with the increase of vegetation coverage.(3) In the case of other conditions, the thickness of the epikarst zone of the Karst mountain concave slope surface is larger than that of the convex slope.(4) In the study area, the thickness of the Epikarst zone increases with the increase of slope gradient.(5) In the study area, the development of the Epikarst zone increases with the increase of the exposed rate of bedrock.(6)The main reason for the development of the epikarst zone is the superiority of the hydrodynamic condition and the coverage of the soil and vegetation in the exposed area of the bedrock.
