Mi Zhi County Department of Yu Lin City, Shaanxi, where is located in northwest inland and belongs to the Loess Plateau region. In recent years, with economic development, because of a series of human activity, there are lots of geological disasters, such as landslides, collapse and mudflows, etc. Which has caused a serious threat to the life and property safety of people in these areas, and brought an impact to the economic development of these areas.Relying on related geo-hazard the detailed investigation of geological hazard project in Mi Zhi County, Yu Lin City, Shaanxi Province, through field survey and data collection, according to geological environmental conditions, and geological hazards characteristics, combined with the geo-hazards point density, the degree of risk and a range of threats to the quantitative evaluation and qualitative analysis method, select the disaster site density, slope indicators, indicators of high slope, slope-type index, type of rock group index, vegetation index, engineering activities impact indicators, precipitation index, the geo-hazard risk evaluation index system is established. Using the overlay and statistical function of GIS, The geo-hazard liability evaluation and risk zoon nation is carried out. It is classified as three levels: high-susceptibility areas, middle-susceptibility areas and low- susceptibility areas, high-risk areas, middle-risk areas and low-risk areas. The area of the high-susceptibility is 336.98km2,accounted for 27.8%of the total area of the Mi Zhi county; The area of the middle-susceptibility is about 643.3km2,accounted for 53.09%;The low-susceptibility is 231.62km2,accounted for 19.11%.The area of the high-risk is 187.05km2,accounted for 15.43%of the total area of the Mi Zhi county; The area of the middle-risk is about 732.59km2,accounted for 60.45%;The low-risk is 292.36km2,accounted for 24.12%.On the basis of this, the county has carried out the prevention and control planning division, identified the key control areas, sub key control areas and the general prevention and control area, and provides the basis for the county’s geological disaster prevention work.
